HCMC – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has taken disciplinary measures against two former chairmen, two former vice chairmen and one vice chairman of the People’s Committee of Thai Nguyen Province.
According to the decisions, which were signed by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, a warning was given to Duong Ngoc Long, ex-chairman of the Thai Nguyen People’s Committee in the 2011-2016 tenure, and Vu Hong Bac, former chairman of the provincial government in the 2016-2021 tenure.
Nhu Van Tam, former permanent vice chairman of the provincial government in the 2011-2016 and 2016-2021 tenures and Doan Van Tuan, former vice chairman of the provincial government in the 2016-2021 tenure, faced the same discipline as Long and Bac.
Le Quang Tien, vice chairman of the northern province in the 2016-2021 tenure, was reprimanded.
All of them were disciplined for their violations while on duty, the local media reported.
Earlier, the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission issued disciplinary actions against them.
At its meeting in December last year, the Inspection Commission concluded that the Party Civil Affairs Committee of Thai Nguyen Province in the 2016-2021 tenure violated the principle of democratic centralism; showed dereliction of duty; and let the provincial government, a number of departments, district-level governments, the provincial industrial zones authority and individuals violate the Party and State regulations in the management and execution of public investment projects and those using private sector capital, and in the management and use of land and natural resources.
Its slack leadership also resulted in some officials being prosecuted and detained, the Inspection Commission added.
