Four die in car crash in Ninh Binh

HCMC – Four people were killed while 13 others were injured after a passenger coach collided with a motorcycle and overturned in Ninh Binh City in the northern province of the same name last night, June 13.

The passenger coach with some 30 passengers on board was heading from Nghe An Province to Hanoi City when it crashed into the motorbike in Nam Thanh Ward in Ninh Binh City at 11:50 p.m. on the same day.

The collision killed the motorcyclist and three other passengers on board the passenger coach, identified as Phan Uy Vu, aged 12, Nguyen Tat Nga, 20, and Nguyen Tai Thai, 20, the local media reported.

Nguyen Van Hanh, deputy director of the Ninh Binh Province Department of Police, said that the 13 injured people were hospitalized.

The passenger coach was speeding while the vehicle was not allowed to enter the city, according to the province’s police.

In another development, a truck crashed into a tractor-trailer on the Noi Bai-Lao Cai expressway in Yen Bai Province at 6:00 a.m. today, June 14, leaving one dead.

The deceased was identified as the co-driver of the truck. The deadly accident occurred while it was raining heavily.
