HCMC – A French expert entering Vietnam last month has been confirmed as the country’s latest Covid-19 patient, sending the nation’s tally to 1,097 as of this evening, October 5, according to the Health Ministry.
The 57-year-old patient arrived in Vietnam from Dubai on September 19, boarding Flight EK394 which landed at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi. She was taken to a quarantine hotel in the capital city after arrival. The French expert is being treated at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hanoi.
Among the country’s total infections, 1,022 Covid-19 patients have made a full recovery, while 35 others have died of the novel coronavirus so far.
