HCMC – The German Business Association (GBA) held a press conference on August 21 in HCMC to introduce the upcoming GBA-Erdinger Oktoberfest 2025, Vietnam’s largest German cultural festival.

The event gathered representatives from the German Business Association, the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam), and partners of the festival.

GBA Oktoberfest 2025 carries special significance as it coincides with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany and the 30th anniversary of the GBA.

At the press briefing, GBA Chairman Alexander Ziehe said that the Oktoberfest is not only a cultural highlight but also a celebration of the strong partnership between Germany and Vietnam.

Meanwhile, Peter Kompalla, chief representative of AHK Vietnam, underscored the festival’s role in promoting economic ties, vocational training, and sustainable development.

This year, the festival will return to three major cities: Hanoi (JW Marriott Hotel, September 25-27), Danang (Furama Resort, October 3), and HCMC (Hotel Nikko Saigon, October 9-11).

Visitors can look forward to authentic Bavarian beer, traditional German cuisine, and live performances, continuing the tradition that has attracted tens of thousands of festivalgoers each year.
