HCMC – Ho Chi Minh City authorities are seeking investor inputs on plans to develop a Strategic Technology Development Center at the Saigon Hi-Tech Park (SHTP), as the city looks to attract high-quality foreign investment into advanced technology infrastructure.

The HCMC People’s Committee has issued a plan to organize a consultation conference with domestic and foreign investors to discuss development orientations for the proposed center. The forum, scheduled for June 28, is expected to gather practical feedback and international experience to help shape cooperation opportunities and prepare specific investment promotion plans for the project.

City authorities described the event as a strategic preparatory step aimed at directly informing businesses and stakeholders about the project’s development vision and investment potential.

To ensure practical outcomes, the city requested that discussions remain focused on market demand, investment conditions, and suitable participation models aligned with HCMC’s sustainable growth strategy.

According to the plan, participants will be carefully selected, with priority given to investors and partners possessing strong financial and technological capabilities that match the planning orientation of projects within the designated development area.

HCMC expects the direct dialogue with investors to help refine the legal and technical framework for the technology center while strengthening public-private partnership (PPP) cooperation.

The city also hopes the project will create momentum for attracting high-quality foreign direct investment into its knowledge and innovation infrastructure in the coming years.
