HCMC — The People’s Committee of Gia Lai Province will host its 2026 Investment Promotion Conference in March 28, where the locality expects to unveil an investment portfolio exceeding US$8 billion from 130 projects.
During the event, that is a centerpiece event of the National Tourism Year 2026 – Gia Lai opening week, local leaders are expected to present investment policy decisions and investment registration certificates for approximately 130 projects with combined capital of US$8 billion. In addition, investment cooperation memorandums of understanding will be handed over to nearly 120 others.
Taking place in the coastal ward of Quy Nhon, Gia Lai Province, the event expected attendance of over 1,000 delegates, including approximately 700 business leaders and entrepreneurs apart from investment, trade, and tourism promotion booths featuring the display of OCOP (One Commune, One Product) specialty products amd site inspection trips at strategic locations across the province.
According to the Gia Lai Investment Promotion Center, the central province’s investment strategy for the 2025-2030 period shifts focus toward a green economy and high-tech industries, leveraging its unique position on the East-West economic corridor via National Highway 19. Key manufacturing projects being called for include a semiconductor and chip production facility, a VND5,000-billion lithium-ion battery plant and a specialized factory for smart electric vehicles and flying transportation devices.
Beyond industrial growth, the investment catalog emphasizes the development of a regional logistics hub, anchored by the expansion of Pleiku Airport and the establishment of the Central Highlands International Logistics Center. The tourism sector also features prominently with 27 key projects, ranging from high-end golf resorts and eco-tourism complexes in Kon Ka Kinh National Park to urban infrastructure development.
To ensure project success, the provincial government has committed to a transparent “open-door” policy, offering maximum incentives for pioneers in digital transformation and green transitions.
