HCMC – Furniture exhibition HawaExpo 2024 kicked off in HCMC yesterday, March 6, highlighting Vietnam’s wook-working strengths and the evolving demands of global buyers.
With the participation of over 500 exhibitors, 80% of them local companies, Vietnam’s largest export furniture fair has seen significant growth compared to previous editions.
The four-day event is being held simultaneously in District 7 and Thu Duc City.
Nguyen Quoc Khanh, chairman of the Handicraft and Wood Industry Association in HCMC (HAWA) and Viforest Fair, said, “HawaExpo 2024 is designed to meet the genuine needs of both exhibitors and overseas buyers.”
Participants from over 100 countries and territories, including the U.S., Australia, United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, India, South Korea, Japan and Malaysia, are joining the event.
The exhibition serves as a valuable platform for potential buyers to engage directly with suppliers, facilitating fruitful business connections. Factory visits are organized to foster deeper collaborations among industry partners.
This year’s HawaExpo introduces new categories, such as furniture design and innovative technology. The organizer’s collaborations with major platforms like Amazon and Wayfair also open up fresh avenues for exhibitors to tap into global e-commerce markets.
The event is expected to attract more than 25,000 buyers and visitors.
