HCMC – Amcham Vietnam has introduced a healthcare white book titled “A Partner in Promoting Health and Wellness in Vietnam”.
The white book centers around recommendations to promote healthcare and wellness development, such as increasing product access by streamlining registration and reimbursement processes, developing e-commerce, and enabling pharmacy chains by updating regulations.
It was introduced at a meeting held on March 1 on strengthening HCMC and Amcham Vietnam’s partnership in promoting health and wellness.
The meeting was attended by HCMC Chairman Phan Van Mai, U.S. Consul General Susan Burns, HCMC Vice Chairman Duong Anh Duc, and representatives of AmCham Vietnam – HCMC.
At the event, AmCham Vietnam – HCMC Vice Chair Michael Nguyen, expressed hope that the white book will create momentum for further discussions with HCMC leadership, and contribute to developing and promoting health and wellness in the city.
HCMC Chairman Phan Van Mai said at the event that city departments would consider the Committee’s recommendations in the context of current priorities, and continue to collaborate with the U.S. mission and AmCham Vietnam – HCMC to develop HCMC into a regional healthcare hub.
