HCMC – The National Innovation Startup Festival (Techfest) and the Week of HCMC Innovation, Startup, and Entrepreneurship (Whise) are simultaneously taking place in District 3, HCMC.
Starting from November 20, the week-long event has 40 activities, with participants including hundreds of leading firms and organizations from the startup community, making it the largest of its kind in the city this year.
With the theme of “Harnessing the country’s resources – Enhancing the Vietnam startup innovation ecosystem for international integration,” Techfest-Whise 2023 is expected to connect companies with financial resources, potential partners, and promising markets both domestically and globally.
Phan Van Mai, chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee, said, “HCMC strives to position itself as a prominent hub for startup innovation in Asia.” The city is committed to fostering a favorable ecosystem for startups and supporting the business community in achieving long-term growth.
Techfest-Whise 2023 includes an exhibition area with cutting-edge advancements in science and technology, designed to foster valuable connections for businesses and potential investors.
The program features one conference and 26 seminars, bringing together experts, officials, business executives and entrepreneurs to discuss the development strategy of Vietnam’s economy.
In addition, the HCMC Open Innovation Platform (H.OIP) was unveiled during the event. H.OIP is an online platform aimed to stimulate innovation activities in the city. The project is currently in its final stages of development.
Techfest-Whise 2023 is co-held by the HCMC People’s Committee, the Ministry of Science and Technology and other partners nationwide. The event highlights the joint efforts the public and private sectors to enhance innovation and entrepreneurship and facilitate the sustainable growth of Vietnam’s business community.
