HCMC – HCMC has provided VND120 billion in aid for communities affected by Typhoon Yagi and ensuing floods.

The aid donation was presented during a fund-raising event held in Hanoi today, September 10, by the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front. The money will be used to help those impacted by the storm recover from losses and rebuild their lives.

Binh Duong Province had earlier pledged to contribute VND10 billion to support northern provinces hit by the typhoon.

In addition to the donation, the HCMC Fatherland Front Committee is calling for government employees, businesses and the public to help those hit by the typhoon and ensuing floods. Citizens are encouraged to donate one day’s salary, and companies and religious organizations are asked to give much-needed support as well.
