HCMC – The HCMC Department of Culture and Sports and District 7 have broken ground on a book street named Nguyen Dong Chi.
The project is part of the city’s broader program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the south and the reunification of the country and the 28th anniversary of District 7.
With an investment of over VND14.9 billion, the book street will feature 16 stalls, a smart library using artificial intelligence (AI), and areas for startups, digital transformation, exhibitions, and live music performances.
It aims to promote reading, cultural tourism, and nighttime economic activities. The project is expected to open on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025).
