HCMC – The Health Ministry has confirmed six fresh Covid-19 patients by community transmission in the northern provinces of Hai Duong and Quang Ninh, sending Vietnam’s total infections to 2,401 as of now.
Of the new patients, five cases in Hai Duong were linked to previously confirmed coronavirus patients and had been put in quarantine. They are being treated at two Covid-19 field hospitals in the province.
The case in Quang Ninh had close contact with four coronavirus patients and is under quarantine and treatment at the Quang Ninh Hospital No.2.
To date, the country’s total number of community cases has reached 1,502, with 809 recorded since January 27.
Further, 1,717 coronavirus patients in the country have fully recovered, while 35 others have died of the disease.
