Health Ministry reports three more imported Covid-19 cases

HCMC – Two local women and a Malaysian expert have been confirmed as positive for Covid-19 and were quarantined upon arrival in Vietnam, raising the nation’s tally to 1,113 as of yesterday evening, October 13, said the Health Ministry.

The two female patients, aged 20 and 26, are residents of Thanh Hoa and Thai Binh provinces. On September 26, they returned home from Russia on Flight QH9495 that landed at Can Tho airport in the city of the same name. They are under medical treatment at Bac Lieu Province General Hospital.

Earlier, 20 passengers boarding this flight had been confirmed as positive for the coronavirus. They are also under quarantine in the Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu.

Regarding the Malaysian national, he is a 37-year-old oil expert. He entered Vietnam through HCMC’s Tan Son Nhat airport on October 10 and was taken to neighboring Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province for quarantine after arrival.

To date, 1,026 Covid-19 patients in the country have fully recovered, while 35 others have died of the virus.
