HCMC – The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced the extension of the deadline for issuing its final conclusion on an anti-dumping duty evasion investigation into stainless steel wires imported from Vietnam.

The investigation result is slated for May 24, 2023.

The investigation was initiated by the U.S. in February 2022. Last December, the DOC issued its preliminary conclusion of the case, according to the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam.

It showed that Vietnam’s stainless steel wire products made from materials imported from South Korea were not evading the anti-dumping duty imposed by the U.S. on similar Korean products.
