HCMC – India’s Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) has initiated an anti-dumping investigation into stainless steel pipes imported from Vietnam and Thailand.

The investigation, officially announced on September 30, 2023, covers a range of stainless steel pipe products categorized under multiple Harmonized System (HS) codes, including 7306 40 00, 7306 61 00, 7306 69 00, 7304 11 10, 7304 11 90, 7304 41 00, and 7304 51 10. These HS codes do not limit the scope of the products under examination.

These products have already been subjected to countervailing duties imposed by India.

Stakeholders have a 15-day window from the announcement date to submit comments regarding the products under investigation. Additionally, the DGTR will consider product control numbers (PCN) submitted within this timeframe.

All parties involved have 37 days from the announcement date to provide all necessary information for the investigation.

The Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam, under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, has recommended that manufacturers and exporters thoroughly review all relevant documents and collaborate closely with their Indian counterparts.
