HCMC – The Consulate General of Indonesia in HCMC will hold a two-day tourism expo at Vincom Mega Mall Thao Dien on November 29–30 as part of activities marking the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Indonesia.
The event, themed “Indonesia: Your Gateway to Paradise,” is organized in partnership with the Association of the Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies (ASITA) Bali Chapter, with support from the HCMC Department of Tourism and the HCMC Tourism Association.
ASITA will bring six Indonesian travel agencies to the city for a table-top business meeting on November 29, followed by a public tourism exhibition throughout the weekend.
Consul General Carolina Tinangon said the expo aims to introduce Vietnamese travelers to Indonesia’s diverse tourism offerings across nature, culture, leisure, sports, and MICE segments. She encouraged residents to visit the exhibition to learn more about emerging destinations beyond Bali, including Yogyakarta, Mount Bromo, and Labuan Bajo.
Visitors will be able to meet Indonesian travel firms, explore tour packages, and access promotional deals tailored for the Vietnamese market.
The Consulate General noted that Vietnam remains a promising source market for Indonesian tourism, and the upcoming expo is expected to strengthen business links between travel companies of both countries.
