HCMC – Agustaviano Sofian, new Consul General of Indonesia in HCMC, today, January 25, visited The Saigon Times Group and shared his expectation to cooperate with the group.
At a meeting with Editor-in-Chief of The Saigon Times Group Tran Minh Hung, Sofian said he was seeking to promote opportunities, strengthening cooperation and connecting people and organizations in the country he is stationed.
He also committed to focusing on promoting trade and investment relations as well as connecting people-to-people contact between Indonesia and the southern part of Vietnam.
He was convinced that HCMC, with its vigorous and vibrant economic activities, would offer trade and business opportunities that will further deepen the bilateral relations between the two countries.
Around 600 Indonesians in HCMC and southern Vietnam are entrepreneurs, who will contribute to achieving the two-way trade target of US$10 billion by 2023.
The Indonesian Consulate General in HCMC will collaborate closely with the Vietnamese Government and local enterprises and enhance the cooperation with HCMC, Sofian added.
