HCMC – The Indonesian Navy’s training tall ship KRI Bima Suci will conduct a goodwill visit to HCMC from May 10 to 13, 2026, as part of “The ASEAN Plus Cadet 2026” (APCS 2026) program, according to the Consulate General of Indonesia in HCMC.
The vessel will berth at Saigon Hiep Phuoc Port during the four-day visit. The delegation is led by Lieutenant Colonel Sugeng Hariyanto, commander of the Nation’s Ambassadorial Diplomacy Task Force of the Indonesian Navy.
The APCS 2026 program is held under the theme “Empowering Young Naval Leaders in Building Cooperation for Future Maritime Technologies” and the tagline “Sailing Together for Navy Brotherhood.” The program is part of the Indonesian Navy’s “Kartika Jala Krida 2026 Sea Training Program.”
Planned activities in HCMC include Courtesy Calls, Cultural Activities, and Engagements between the Indonesian Navy delegation, Vietnamese counterparts, and local communities.
The voyage includes 157 Naval Academy cadets and training officers of the Indonesian Naval Academy (AAL) Class of 2026, along with 57 international participants comprising Naval Cadets and Escort Officers from 25 countries, including Vietnam and other partner countries.
KRI Bima Suci departed from Surabaya on March 24 and is scheduled to visit seven countries during its 124-day voyage before returning to Surabaya.
