HCMC – Over 871,000 international tourists have come to Vietnam in the year to date, surging by 44.2-fold year-on-year, according to data of the General Statistics Office.
This month’s international tourist arrivals are up by 23.2% against the previous month, the local media reported. However, the figure was 42% lower than in 2019, before the Covid pandemic.
Vietnam looks to welcome eight million international travelers in 2023, with multiple tourism promotion programs to be held this year, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.
Last year saw more than 3.66 million international visitors arrive in Vietnam, up 23.3-fold year-on-year.
