HCMC – After a three-year pause due to the pandemic, the Vietnam International Furniture and Home Accessories Fair (VIFA-EXPO) will reopen in HCMC next week.
VIFA-EXPO is the biggest annual promotion event for furniture and home furnishing items in Vietnam organized by the HCMC Department of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the Handicraft and Wood Industry Association of HCMC and the Alliance Handicraft Wooden Fine Art Corporation.
The event will feature 975 booths of 175 domestic and foreign enterprises, said a representative of the organizing committee.
Until now, 2,000 visitors have registered for the event, with 79% of them potential international clients and importers from 89 countries and territories.
The scale of the event highlights that the furniture and home accessories sector is recovering post pandemic.
The VIFA-EXPO 2022 will take place from August 31 to September 3 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in HCMC’s District 7.
The event will gather diverse and sophisticated products like interior and exterior furniture, furnishing items, handicrafts, gifts, wooden material, machinery and accessories.
VIFA-EXPO 2022 is expected to create opportunities for exporters to meet with international partners and clients.
The director of a local furniture company who registered to participate in the exhibition hoped to find new clients for his company after the severe impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
