Key personnel report for 14th National Party Congress adopted

HCMC – The 15th plenum of the 13th Party Central Committee (PCC) has concluded, with key personnel reports for the 14th National Party Congress and three strategic breakthroughs on institutional development, decentralization, and science and technology adopted.

After two days of intensive working, the 15th plenum of the 13th Party Central Committee completed all of its scheduled agenda and wrapped up this morning, December 23, according to the Vietnam News Agency.

The PCC unanimously approved the Party’s personnel report that would be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress, and voted to endorse the proposed candidates for the 14th Party Central Committee, as well as nominees for the Politburo, the Secretariat, and key leadership positions of the Party and the State for the 2026-2031 term.

All of these nominations will be presented to the 14th National Party Congress for review, decision making, and election in line with Party rules.

In his closing remarks, Party General Secretary To Lam stressed that in the new phase of the country’s development, the PCC would focus on three strategic breakthroughs, including a strong push for institutional reform, accelerating decentralization, and advancing breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation while developing new productive capacities and new business models.

Priority will also be given to restructuring and improving the quality of human resources; developing high-quality manpower; and strongly reforming the personnel work.

The Party will encourage and protect officials who are proactive, creative, and willing to take responsibility for the common good. He added that the country will continue strengthening socioeconomic infrastructure, especially in transport, technology, and energy, while pressing ahead with other key tasks.

Speaking on behalf of those nominated for the next Party Central Committee and key leadership positions to be considered by the 14th National Party Congress, Party General Secretary To Lam expressed his gratitude to the PCC, the Politburo, and the Secretariat for their trust.

He affirmed that they would continue to work in unity, with a strong sense of responsibility and high effectiveness, to meet the expectations of the Party and the people.
