HCMC – The Mekong Delta province of Long An has announced the completion of site clearance and has handed over cleared land to construction contractors of a section of HCMC Beltway No. 3 passing through the province.

Local authorities have compensated 410 out of 414 affected households. The remaining four households have not received compensation due to disputes but they have already handed over their land.

The province met the timeline for the HCMC Beltway No. 3 project in line with the Government’s requirements.

Specifically, package XL1, contracted for constructing the main section of the beltway, is 20% complete. Packages XL2 and XL3, covering the construction of Tan Buu Bridge and the final interchange of the project, are 36% and 39% done, respectively.

The 76-kilometer HCMC Beltway No. 3 passes through HCMC and three neighboring provinces: Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Long An. Long An is responsible for components 7 and 8, which require a total investment of VND4,200 billion.
