HCMC – Vietnam’s two largest airports are expected to handle over 200,000 passengers on the final day of the Reunification Day (April 30) and International Labor Day (May 1) vacation, according to statistics from Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat international airports.

The Noi Bai International Airport anticipates May 1 to be the peak day for passenger arrivals during the five-day holiday that ends today, reported the Vietnam New Agency.

The airport will handle 303 domestic and 235 international flights with an estimated 94,000 passengers. Additionally, there will be 16 peak hours for domestic arrivals, with over 2,000 passengers per hour. These peak hours are evenly spread from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Meanwhile, Tan Son Nhat is expecting a total of 693 flights, including 343 departures and 350 arrivals. The anticipated number of passengers is over 110,200, with more than 49,700 departing and around 60,500 arriving.

Both airports are urging passengers to complete procedures online, check travel documents carefully, prepare luggage according to regulations, and use public transportation instead of private vehicles to reduce congestion at airport parking lots.
