HCMC – HCMC is gearing up to meet the increased travel demand of residents and tourists during the Lunar New Year holiday, with a significant boost in bus services to bus stations and Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
The HCMC Management Center of Public Transportation has announced a series of adjustments, starting from January 31, 2024, and running until the end of February 19, corresponding to Lunar December 21 to January 10.
Notable changes include the introduction of 12 additional bus routes to Mien Tay and Bien Hoa bus stations during February 6-8 and February 13-14.
Moreover, the frequency of bus route 109, connecting Tan Son Nhat Airport to 23/9 Park, will surge from 42 to 72 trips per day. These extended buses will operate around the clock, starting from February 4-8 (Lunar December 25-29) and February 13-17 (Lunar 4th-8th day of the New Year).
On the first day of the Lunar New Year, all city bus routes will operate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In response to students’ prolonged absence from school during this significant festive period, certain routes, including 50 and 52, will be temporarily suspended from February 5 to 18.
