NET to pay 50% cash dividend

HCMC – NET Detergent JSC, which trades its shares on the Hanoi Stock Exchange with the code NET, is set to pay a 2021 cash dividend of 50% on September 30.

The detergent firm will close its shareholder list for the dividend payment on September 22, the local media reported.

With its some 22.4 million outstanding shares priced at VND10,000 each, NET will spend VND112 billion paying the dividend.

As of the end of 2021, the firm had over VND118 billion in after-tax profit left, while there was more than VND15.7 billion in its development investment fund.

Last year, the firm paid a 2020 cash dividend of 60% after making a record after-tax profit of VND133 billion.

In the first half of the year, NET, whose charter capital is VND224 billion, posted some VND728 billion in revenue, down 1.6% year-on-year, and VND46 billion in after-tax profit, dipping by 32% year-on-year.

Closing the trading session today, September 13, NET stood at the reference price.

The VN-Index of the southern bourse ended on a downbeat note, losing 1.22 points, or 0.1%, from the session earlier, at 1,248.4, with 184 gainers and 262 decliners. Trade volume totaled some 474 million shares worth VND12.7 trillion, up 15% and 19% against the previous session, respectively.

In the VN30 basket, 10 stocks gained while the rest closed down or at the reference price.

Securities firm SSI slid 0.9% at the close, but took the lead by liquidity on bourse with a matching volume of 19 million shares.

On the northern bourse, the HNX-Index ended down 1.49 points, or 0.53%, from the day earlier, at 281.59, extending its falling streak for the second straight session.

Oil and gas firm PVB stole the limelight on bourse as the stock shot up to the ceiling price at the close.
