HCMC – The Nguyen Hue Flower Street is gearing up for its grand opening, with the impressive snake mascots, Kim Ty and Ngan Ty, now installed at the entrance to welcome visitors to this year’s Tet celebration.
The showstoppers this year are Kim Ty and Ngan Ty, the majestic snake mascots crafted from 70% eco-friendly materials
Ngan Ty (the female snake) is 25 meters long, while Kim Ty (the male snake) stretches an impressive 42 meters. Their intertwined bodies form three elegant loops, creating a base over 11 meters wide. From the ground to the tops of their heads, the snakes rise to over 6 meters
Adding to the natural beauty of the display are clusters of bamboo positioned behind the snakes. These bamboo structures, ranging from 2.5 to 12 meters in height, are also crafted with sustainability in mind. Made from bamboo blinds and rattan wrapped around steel frames, they are painted in soft shades of light green and ivory, enhancing the serene and calming atmosphere of the installation
Another highlight is the Spring Drops from the Earth installation, covering 1,000 square meters and standing eight meters tall.
Made from bamboo and rattan, this centerpiece resembles a beehive or cave, symbolizing nature’s resilience and harmony
This year’s flower street will also showcase around 90 snake mascots in various shapes and sizes, most of them located near the entrance

The street is set to dazzle visitors with over 109,000 pots of vibrant flowers, carefully arranged to create a breathtaking scene bursting with color and fragrance

Crews are working to finalize the remaining sections of the street, ensuring everything is ready for the grand opening on January 27, just in time for the Lunar New Year festivities
