One more imported case of Covid-19 diagnosed

HCMC – Vietnam’s Covid-19 infections amounted to 1,145 this morning, October 22, with the latest case being quarantined upon arrival in the country, according to the Health Ministry.

The patient is a 29-year-old resident in north-central Ha Tinh Province. He returned home from Angola on October 20 through Bac Ninh Province’s Van Don airport. He is under medical treatment at Bac Ninh Province General Hospital.

With this new case, the country had reported four imported Covid-19 cases during the last 24 hours.

To date, the number of recoveries has reached 1,046. Meanwhile, 35 others have died of the novel coronavirus.

Further, Vietnam has not recorded any new case by community transmission for 49 days.
