Ministry confirms three more imported Covid-19 cases

HCMC – The Ministry of Health has confirmed three new Covid-19 patients who were quarantined after returning to Vietnam from Angola on October 20, sending the country’s tally to 1,148 as of tonight, October 22.

After arriving at Van Don International Airport in Quang Ninh Province, a 46-year-old man who lives in Ha Tinh Province was immediately sent to a concentrated quarantine center in Bac Ninh Province. His positive test result came out today. He is being treated at Bac Ninh General Hospital.

The two other patients, a 35-year-old woman who resides in Bac Giang Province and a male resident of HCMC, aged 36, were quarantined in Bac Giang Province after their arrival. The two patients are receiving treatment at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hanoi City.

Up to now, 1,049 patients have made a full recovery from Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, while 35 others have died of the virus.

Among the remaining active Covid-19 cases, 23 patients have tested negative for the disease one to three times.
