Over 300 new businesses set up in Bac Ninh in May

HCMC – Bac Ninh Province in northern Vietnam saw 323 new businesses established last month, with total capital reaching over VND11.1 trillion, a sixfold increase from the year earlier, according to the provincial Department of Planning and Investment.

Since the beginning of the year, 1,460 new businesses have been established in the province, a 6.5% increase over the same period in 2023. Their total registered capital was nearly VND20.33 trillion, up by 15.3% year-on-year.

In May, 74 businesses in Bac Ninh returned to the market, while 127 others temporarily suspended activities. Year-to-date, 509 businesses have resumed operations, an 11% increase compared to the same period last year.

The provincial Business Registration Office, working with the Investment Promotion and Business Support Center, has facilitated online business registrations, achieving a 100% online submission rate in the first five months of the year.

The Department of Planning and Investment has also implemented the National Business Registration Information Portal, ensuring transparent and efficient business registration processes. The department publicized registration procedures on its website and at the provincial Public Administration Center.
