During the 2023 “Suc Manh Nhan Dao” event hosted by the Vietnam Red Cross to recognize positive contributions to humanitarian efforts, P&G Vietnam stood out among the 20 companies acknowledged for exceptional contributions to social welfare and sustainable development. With nearly thirty years of presence in Vietnam, P&G Vietnam has consistently reaffirmed its dedication to serving as a force for growth and a force for good, leading the way in promoting sustainable development across economic, environmental, and social aspects. In 2023, alongside the esteemed recognition from the Vietnam Red Cross, the company received consecutive honors at various reputable awards in recognition of its noteworthy projects.
Of particular note, P&G Vietnam was honored to receive the AmCham CSR Awards for the seventh consecutive time from the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam. Additionally, the company was acknowledged at the AmCham ESG Impact Showcase 2023 for its initiatives in environmental protection, creating positive societal impacts, and implementing management strategies that foster sustainable development. Preceding this, at the Saigon Times CSR Awards 2023 organized by the Saigon Times Group, the corporation was also distinguished among the 40 outstanding businesses for its outstanding and meaningful CSR activities, contributing to spreading positive values within the community.
As a global leader in environmental development initiatives, P&G has implemented several impactful projects in Vietnam. Particularly noteworthy are initiatives like “Forests For Good,” first introduced in the country, and the “Children’s Clean Drinking Water” program, which strategically collaborates with the Vietnam Red Cross for consecutive years. These endeavors have not only inspired the community but have also heightened environmental awareness, pioneering connections among consumers, employees, and partners to collectively participate in positive and meaningful actions.
In the initial phase of the “Forests For Good” program, more than 6,500 valuable forestry trees were planted, contributing to the increased greenery of vital forest areas, including Xuân Liên Forest, Cà Mau Forest, and Đồng Nai Forest. The “Children’s Clean Drinking Water” program has supplied over 90 million liters of clean water to nearly 150,000 households in over 10 provinces grappling with water scarcity, particularly those severely affected by intense flooding.
P&G Vietnam is also at the forefront of empowering women, actively contributing to gender equality in Vietnam through continuous strategic partnerships with domestic and international organizations such as the Vietnam Women’s Union, WEConnect International, and CARE International. Most recently, the company collaborated with WEConnect International to inaugurate the “Women Entrepreneurs Academy” (WEA) program in Vietnam for the first time. This initiative benefits over 50 small and medium-sized enterprises led by women across various industries, aiming to enhance business development capabilities within women-led entrepreneurial communities and empower female entrepreneurs to maximize their potential at every stage of their careers.
