HCMC – Tran Phuong Ngoc Thao, vice chairwoman of Phu Nhuan Jewelry JSC (HOSE, stock code: PNJ), has acquired four million PNJ shares with a total estimated value of VND380 billion.
The Hochiminh Stock Exchange reported that her transactions took place between December 19, 2024 and January 14, 2025, via block deals and matched orders.
Thao’s ownership of PNJ has now increased to over 11.8 million shares, equivalent to 3.51% of the company’s charter capital.
Tran Phuong Ngoc Thao is the daughter of PNJ Chairwoman Cao Thi Ngoc Dung, who currently owns over 9.6 million PNJ shares.
On January 14, PNJ shares closed at VND95,400 per share.
Closing the trading session today, January 16, PNJ inched up by 0.74% day-on-day to VND95,000, with 340,300 shares changing hands.
On the southern bourse, the VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange added 6.18 points, or 0.5% against the previous session, with 222 advancers and 150 decliners.
Nearly 500 million shares worth VND13.3 trillion were traded, up by 7% in volume and 28% in value compared to yesterday’s session. Block deal transactions contributed more than 88.1 million shares worth a total of VND3.5 trillion.
Demand in the VN30 basket rose, with 22 stocks ending in the green. STB, SSI, and VCB saw the largest increases, ranging from 1% to nearly 1.5%. VCB alone contributed over 1.7 positive points to the VN-Index.
VND closed the session at the maximum price of VND12,200, up by 7%. It recorded the highest trading volume on the exchange, with over 19.6 million shares exchanged.
On the northern exchange, the HNX-index rose by 1.3 points, or 0.59%, against the previous day at 220.84 points. The total trading volume reached 39.7 million shares, valued at a total of VND629.6 billion.
