HCMC – Pham Van Thanh, vice chairman of the People’s Committee of Quang Ninh Province, has received a warning for his shortcomings related to the case of Viet A Covid test kits when he was leader of Dong Trieu Town in the province.
The provincial Party Committee’s Executive Board took disciplinary action against Thanh yesterday, August 26, after considering a request from the Standing Committee and the Inspection Commission of the provincial Party Committee.
Thanh was found to have violate regulations on the procurement of Covid test kits provided by Viet A, while serving as Party chief and chairman of Dong Trieu Town, said the provincial Party Committee’s Executive Board.
Previously, provincial authorities had weighed punitive actions against the Party Committee’s Executive Board in Dong Trieu and a number of local officials in the town for their alleged involvement in the Viet A Covid test kit price gouging case, reported the local media.
