Sabeco to pay 15% cash dividend

HCMC – Saigon Beer-Alcohol-Beverage Corporation (Sabeco), listed on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange under the code SAB, has decided to advance a 15% cash dividend for 2023, equivalent to VND1,500 per share.

With over 1.28 billion outstanding shares, Sabeco is expected to spend more than VND1.92 trillion paying the interim dividend for its existing shareholders.

The payment is scheduled to be made on February 7, 2024.

In January-September, Sabeco generated VND21.9 trillion in revenue and VND3.2 trillion in after-tax profit. The brewery set a target of achieving gross revenue of VND40.2 trillion and after-tax profit of VND5.7 trillion in 2023, and as of the end of September, Sabeco had achieved 57% of the annual profit plan.

Closing the trading session today, December 7, SAB inched up by 0.61% to VND65,600, with 626,200 shares transacted on the southern bourse.

With 205 gainers and 289 losers, the benchmark VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange shed 4.94 points, or 0.44%, against yesterday’s session, closing at 1,121.49 points.

Trade volume totaled 1.33 billion shares worth VND27.4 trillion, surging 56% in volume and 52% in value against the previous day. Block deals contributed over VND1.07 trillion to the total value, with more than 36.1 million shares changing hands.

Among the blue-chip stocks, MSN soared by 2.3% to VND63,500, followed by VPB, TCB, and BID with an increase of more than 1.5%.

VIX and VND were the most actively-traded stocks, with 73.8 million and 67.3 million shares matched, respectively.

On the northern bourse, the HNX-Index lost 1.79 points, or 0.77%, against yesterday’s session, at 231.84 points, with 75 advancers and 90 decliners. The total trading volume reached 185.1 million shares, with a value of over VND3.6 trillion.
