Local fuel prices decline

HCMC – The domestic retail prices of fuels were revised down at 3 p.m. today, December 7, following a joint decision by the ministries of Industry-Trade and Finance.

E5 RON92 bio-gasline is now priced at VND21,290 per liter, down by VND500, while the higher-grade RON95 petrol sells for VND23,320 per liter, down by VND670.

Diesel oil is now priced at VND19,720 per liter, falling by VND470, and kerosene declined by VND190 to VND20,920. The heavy fuel oil price fell by VND300 to VND15,520 per kilogram.

During this fuel price adjustment, no surcharges are imposed on fuels to replenish the fuel price stabilization fund. Local fuel traders are also not allowed to tap the fund. In the past five adjustment periods, the authorities also refrained from utilizing the fund.
