DANANG – Co-organized by the Danang Tourism Association and the Saigon Times Group, the “Great Circle – Together with Vietnam’s Tourism – I Love Danang Beach” program is set to kick off on August 2 to encourage residents to tour Vietnam.

The program, part of the “Fantastic Danang 2020” festival set to take place from July 30 to August 5, is scheduled to kick off at 5.00 a.m. on Son Thuy Beach in Ngu Hanh Son District and is expected to attract over 2,000 participants.

Accordingly, the participants, including representatives of enterprises, tourists and locals, will walk eight kilometers along the beach to East Sea Park in Son Tra District.

During their walk, the participants will take photos or selfies at check-in sites designed mainly in blue to create a fresh atmosphere and highlight the beauty of the beaches in Vietnam.

The participants will be awarded medals if they finish their Son Thuy Beach-East Sea Park journey and take photos at three of the six check-in sites.

The program is being held under the “Saigon Times – Great Circle – Together with Vietnam’s Tourism” initiative launched by the Saigon Times Group in June, which aims to promote tourism in the country and encourage Vietnamese residents to travel across Vietnam.

Following the success of the first phase of the “Saigon Times – Great Circle” program aimed at spreading the spirit of helping poverty-stricken people overcome the hardships caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the group continued to roll out the second phase of the program titled “Together with Vietnam’s Tourism”.

This phase started with a beach cleanup campaign on Ke Ga Islet in Binh Thuan Province on June 14.

Besides this, the Saigon Times Group collaborated with the management board of Ta Dung National Park and the Dak Nong Province Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize a trek at the park on June 27 and 28. On June 28, the group handed over 15 signposts, three information boards and a pyramid bearing basic information about Ta Dung National Park to the park’s management board, as part of the program.

On July 9, over 500 people, including local workers, residents and students participated in an environmental cleanup event in the central province of Quang Nam. The event was also part of the “Saigon Times – Great Circle – Together with Vietnam’s Tourism” program.

The program will continue to take place in many other localities in Vietnam, such as Phu Quoc in Kien Giang Province, Quy Nhon City in Binh Dinh, Thua Thien-Hue and Ha Giang until late August.
