HCMC – Six Covid-19 patients infected via community transmission in Binh Duong Province during the latest wave have made a complete recovery and have been discharged from hospital, said the provincial steering committee for Covid-19 infection prevention and control today, March 9.

The patients were told to continue to quarantine at home for another 14 days after leaving the hospital, reported Lao Dong Online.

Early last month, the southern province detected five Covid-19 cases linked to a coronavirus outbreak in Hai Duong Province and one case linked to HCMC, leading to three affected areas being put under lockdown.

As of now, the lockdown imposed on these areas has been lifted. People who had close contact with these patients all tested negative for Covid-19. The outbreak in Binh Duong has been brought under control.

The Binh Duong Province General Hospital is currently quarantining and providing treatment for two Covid-19 patients, who are imported cases.

In related development, under the Ministry of Health’s decision, Binh Duong was provided with 1,700 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, with 1,200 doses for the provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and the remaining for the Binh Duong Province General Hospital. The province is working on a list of people who will get vaccinated.
