HCMC – The Health Ministry has confirmed six more Covid-19 patients by community transmission in the northern province of Hai Duong, bringing Vietnam’s tally to 2,432 as of 6 p.m. today, February 27.
The new patients are residing in Kim Thanh and Kinh Mon districts and Hai Duong City. These cases were linked to previously confirmed coronavirus patients and are under treatment at Covid-19 field hospitals in the province, which is now the country’s biggest coronavirus hotspot.
During the latest coronavirus wave, 10 of 13 virus-hit provinces and cities have reported no new locally-infected cases for two weeks, including HCMC, Hoa Binh, Dien Bien, Ha Giang, Binh Duong, Hung Yen, Bac Giang, Gia Lai, Bac Ninh, and Quang Ninh.
Data from the ministry also showed that 1,844 coronavirus patients in the country have fully recovered and deaths remained at 35.
