HCMC – Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) announced that a total of 16 wind and solar power plants in the transitional period have been successfully integrated into the national electricity grid yesterday, May 26.

These plants are currently on a trial run in preparation for power generation.

As of May 26, a total of 52 out of 85 investors in the renewable energy transition projects have submitted their documents to EVN for pricing talks and power purchase contracts, according to EVN.

Among those, 36 project investors proposed a tentative price ranging from VND754 to VND908 per kWh (excluding VAT), equal to 50% of the price ceiling regulated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Nineteen project investors have received approval from the Ministry of Industry and Trade for the tentative electricity prices and have signed power purchase agreements.

Previously, Dang Hoang An, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, signed directives on May 24 and 25 to urge EVN and investors to speed up pricing talks and legal procedures.
