Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi has been named to Travel + Leisure’s 2026 list of the world’s 500 best hotels, marking the sixth consecutive year the historic property has earned the distinction.
The recognition comes as the landmark hotel celebrates its 125th anniversary, underscoring its long-standing reputation as one of Vietnam’s most acclaimed luxury hotels. The Metropole was among a select number of Vietnamese properties included on the annual list, which is based on results from Travel + Leisure’s “World’s Best Awards.”
The latest honor adds to a series of international awards for the hotel. It was recently named one of Fodor’s Travel’s “100 Most Incredible Hotels in the World” and received a Michelin Key in the inaugural Vietnam edition of the Michelin Guide.
Additional accolades include recognition from Business Traveller Asia-Pacific, Robb Report Hong Kong and Condé Nast Traveler, further cementing the Metropole’s status as one of Asia’s leading heritage hotels.
