Some 80,000 households in Danang test negative for Covid-19

HCMC – The representatives of 70,972 households in Danang City have tested negative for Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, Director of the municipal Health Department Ngo Thi Kim Yen announced today, September 9.

All of them underwent Covid-19 tests as part of the first phase of the city’s Covid-19 test plan, which kicked off on September 3, VietnamPlus news site reported.

Earlier, the municipal government issued an order stating it would conduct Covid-19 tests on the representatives of all households in the city who had yet to be tested to quickly detect Covid-19 cases and prevent the spread of the disease in the community.

Between July 24 and September 8, the Ministry of Health reported 389 Covid-19 cases in Danang City. The city’s hospitals are treating 49 Covid-19 patients.

On the same day, the Thien Nhan Center for High-Tech Medical Diagnosis announced that it would support students leaving Danang City for another locality for their new academic year by paying 30% of the costs of their Covid-19 tests using the RT-PCR technique.

Ngo Duc Hai, director of the center, said that some localities had asked Danang residents to show certificates indicating they are free of Covid-19.

This is the beginning of the new school year, so the demand from students to travel to other provinces and cities is rising. The support from the center will help students enter school in a timely manner.
