HCMC – Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) has signed an operation management consulting contract with the Incheon Airport consortium for Long Thanh International Airport, following a four-month bidding process.

The consortium comprises Incheon International Airport Corporation from South Korea and PMI Consulting Service Corporation.

Incheon International Airport Corporation is a global leader in airport management and operation consulting. It is recognized for its high-quality service and has consistently received top ratings from passengers and industry organizations.

PMI Consulting Service Corporation is a leading Vietnamese construction consulting firm with over a decade of experience in major aviation projects across the country.

Due to the scale and complexity of Long Thanh International Airport, which features advanced and modern technological systems, ACV’s collaboration with consulting firms is crucial to ensure effective preparation, management, and operation of the airport.

In June 2024, ACV launched the bidding process to select a consulting consortium for managing and operating Long Thanh International Airport. Following this process, ACV announced the Incheon Airport Consortium as the winning bidder.

Currently, four major components of the Long Thanh Airport project—the passenger terminal, runway, two connecting roads, and the air traffic control tower—are under construction. Over 8,000 workers and a significant amount of equipment and machinery have been mobilized to ensure timely completion.

According to the project timeline, Long Thanh International Airport in Dong Nai Province is expected to welcome its first commercial flight on September 2, 2026.
