HCMC – The number of active securities trading accounts on the stock market had reached 7.9 million by the end of May, according to data from the Vietnam Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation (VSD).
This is the highest number ever recorded and marks the sixth consecutive month of growth in stock trading accounts.
Compared to the previous month, the market welcomed an additional 132,220 accounts in May. On average, the stock market recorded about 4,265 new individual and institutional accounts joining each day.
The number of stock investor accounts reached a record high as the VN-Index hit its peak of around 1,280 points, mirroring the peak witnessed in August 2022.
