HCMC – Nearly 100 employees of Dechang Vietnam Co., Ltd, based in Giang Dien Industrial Park in Dong Nai Province, were hospitalized over suspected food poisoning.
On the evening of May 15, Trang Bom Medical Center in Dong Nai Province reported that it had provided emergency treatment to the affected workers.
According to medical officials, one of the workers is in critical condition requiring ventilatory support, while the others are experiencing milder symptoms. Many were given medication and discharged to continue recovery at home.
The symptoms began after the workers had dinner on May 15, which included complaints of abdominal pain and vomiting. After that, they were taken to Trang Bom Medical Center for emergency treatment.
This incident follows another significant food poisoning case in Long Khanh City, Dong Nai, where over 500 individuals were impacted after consuming contaminated bread. The Long Khanh City Police are currently investigating the previous case.
