Thirteen incumbent members of Government not on new Party Central Committee

HCMC – The 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam yesterday, January 22, announced the list of 180 full and 20 alternate members of the 14th Party Central Committee, but 13 incumbent members of the Government are not on the list.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, six other deputy PMs, and five ministers did not seek re-election to the 14th Party Central Committee.

The 13 current members of the Government were not re-elected to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam for the 14th term:

  1. Pham Minh Chinh (born 1958), member of the 13th Politburo, Prime Minister
  2. Nguyen Hoa Binh (born 1958), member of the 13th Politburo, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister
  3. Tran Hong Ha (born 1963), member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister
  4. Le Thanh Long (born 1963), member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister
  5. Ho Duc Phoc (born 1963), member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister
  6. Bui Thanh Son (born 1962), member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister
  7. Nguyen Chi Dung (born 1960), member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister
  8. Mai Van Chinh (born 1961), member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister
  9. Nguyen Van Hung (born 1961), member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism
  10. Nguyen Manh Hung (born 1962), member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Minister of Science and Technology
  11. Tran Van Son (born 1961), member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Minister and Head of the Government Office
  12. Doan Hong Phong (born 1963), member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Government Inspector General
  13. Dao Ngoc Dung (born 1962), member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Minister of Ethnic Affairs and Religion.
