HCMC – A Vietnamese woman and her two children returning from France have tested positive for Covid-19, raising Vietnam’s tally to 1,256 as of November 13, according to the Ministry of Health.

The three new patients, who are residents in Hanoi’s Thanh Xuan District, flew home on November 11 on Flight VN5010, which landed at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in HCMC. They were immediately quarantined in the city.

They were confirmed positive for the coronavirus the following day and are being treated at the Cu Chi Field Hospital in HCMC.

Up to date, 1,101 patients in the country have fully recovered, while 39 others have tested negative for Covid-19.

Nearly 15,300 people who came back from pandemic-hit countries or had close contact with Covid-19 patients are being quarantined at hospitals, quarantine centers or at home.

The country has passed 72 consecutive days without community-transmitted Covid-19 cases.
