DANANG – Anex Vietnam and Mode Tour Network have written to the Danang government and the municipal Department of Tourism proposing solutions to bring Russian and South Korean tourists to the city.
A representative of the Danang Tourism Department told The Saigon Times on October 14 that the parties concerned were discussing solutions and waiting for the central Government’s approval before making a final decision.
Nguyen Duc Tan, general director of Anex Vietnam Travel and Trading Company, signed a dispatch seeking approval to welcome Russian visitors who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to Vietnam through the Danang International Airport.
Anex Vietnam will cooperate with Azu Air and Russian tour operator Anex Tour Russia, a unit of the Anex Tourism Group, to launch chartered flights and full-package tours under the “Danang 7+” formula.
The formula will only allow Russian travelers who hold a Covid vaccine passport and buy a tour to Danang City with the first seven days to be spent at resorts or hotels designated as meeting safety requirements by the local authorities.
After seven days, if these visitors test negative for Covid, they will be allowed to travel to tourist destinations set for the formula.
The formula will be piloted within three to five months, with a frequency of one weekly flight. Anex committed to taking 2,000 tourists to the city each month during the pilot period and the number will double after the period.
Solutions to welcome tourists, tour models and hotels and resorts in Danang City and Quang Nam Province were listed in this dispatch by Anex Vietnam.
Meanwhile, Modetour Network Inc., a South Korea-based company providing travel services, sent a dispatch to the Danang Tourism Department proposing conducting the Travel Bubble model, known as travel corridors, with an exclusive partnership between two or more countries.
Under the solution, it will take groups of at least two tourists who have been fully vaccinated against Covid for 14 days to the city.
Besides, these South Korean tourists will show certificates of a negative test result taken 72 hours before their arrival in Danang. They will also take a Covid test before returning to South Korea.
Mode Tour also proposed Danang City offer free tests for them before they return to their country.
Mode Tour Network, a subsidiary of Modetour Network Inc., was founded in Danang City in 2018.
