Two returnees become latest Covid-19 cases in Vietnam

HCMC – The Ministry of Health has reported two more Covid-19 cases, who returned to Vietnam from the United States on October 11, taking the country’s tally to 1,124 as of tonight, October 15.

A 68-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man were immediately sent to a concentrated quarantine center in Hung Yen Province after they arrived at Van Don International Airport in Quang Ninh Province.

The residents of Dong Nai Province and Danang City had their samples taken for Covid-19 testing on October 13 and their test results came back positive for the virus. The two patients are being treated at Hanoi-based National Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

To date, 1,030 Covid-19 patients in Vietnam have fully recovered, while 35 others have died. Among the remaining active Covid-19 cases, 25 patients have tested negative for Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, one to three times.
