HCMC – The health authority of Danang has urged individuals who were in close contact or traded goods with three traders from two of Danang’s markets, who are suspected to have contracted the novel coronavirus, to contact medical centers to receive Covid-19 health safety guidelines.
The Health Department of Danang City last night, August 21, issued an announcement over the three suspected cases at Tan Lap market in Thac Gian Ward and Sieu Thi market in Chinh Gian Ward, both in Thanh Khe District. It said they tested positive in their first Covid-19 test results.
Of them, T.T.M.H, aged 38, sells macerated fish products at Tan Lap market’s Lot No. 97; T.T.S, aged 69, is a spice seller at Sieu Thi market’s Lot No. 82 and H.T.L.T, aged 51, sells seafood at Sieu Thi market’s Lot No. 290.
As such, residents who came into close contact or traded goods with these traders or went to the aforesaid lots between August 19 and 21 should contact district-level medical centers in their areas of residence to make health declarations to receive instructions over Covid-19 preventive measures, said the health department.
The municipal health authority also imposed a temporary lockdown on and disinfected the two markets yesterday afternoon.
From July 24 to 6 p.m. on August 21, the central city of Danang reported 369 Covid-19 cases, with 243 of them undergoing treatment at health care facilities citywide. Moreover, 21 Covid-19 patients in this coronavirus hotspot have died and 98 others have made a full recovery.
