HCMC – Thousands of people have complained about the lack of their vaccination status on the national Covid-19 vaccination website, highlighting slow information updates about the inoculation program which is being sped up, especially in HCMC and Hanoi.
The HCMC Health Department sent an urgent document asking the HCMC Center for Disease Control, hospitals and private clinics citywide to quickly update the data of those who have got vaccinated to the national vaccine injection system.
The department said some vaccination units had administered over 100,000 shots, but the results posted on the website, tiemchungcovid19.moh.gov.vn, reported just several tens of thousands.
Even though a unit administered as many as 7,000 shots, the website recorded just 139 shots, Thanh Nien newspaper reported.
Information about vaccination is important because it is not only used to evaluate the speed of the vaccination program, but also to serve as a basis for issuing green and yellow passes in HCMC in the coming weeks.
The municipal authority is mulling over a plan to use a mobile app called VNEID to monitor mobility restrictions in HCMC.
When information about Covid vaccination is fully integrated into the app, a QR code created by the app would be used as a travel pass.
