Vietnam has one more Covid-19 case this morning

HCMC – A 16-year-old girl who lives in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang has tested positive for the coronavirus, taking the nation’s total number of confirmed cases to 268 this morning, April 16.

The patient, whose three elder brothers work in China, developed fever, cough and shortness of breath on April 7.

As such, she was quarantined at Dong Van General Hospital in the province and her test results came back positive for Covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, according to the Ministry of Health.

The 268th patient is being treated at the hospital. This was the first case reported in Ha Giang Province.

As of this morning, of 268 Covid-19 cases in the country, 171 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital.

Among the active cases, 10 patients have tested negative for the virus twice while 23 others’ test results came back negative once.
